ABOUT PGR & ITS FOUNDER,
PETER GRAYSON
Peter Grayson is one of the country’s most promising young training talents. A former international showjumper, Peter trained 30 winners in his first season and has built on that success in 2007.
He celebrated his biggest success so far when one of his stable stars, Stoneacre Lad, won a £70,000 sprint handicap at Ascot during the summer.
The former Great Britain showjumping star has also excelled on Turf and All-Weather with the likes of Glenviews Youngone, Egyptian Lord, Garstang, Lady Bahia and Grange Lilli.
Peter competed at the top level of show jumping for many years, representing and winning for his country on a number of occasions. Now his skills with horses are being honed to produce top flat racehorses.
The decision to move from show jumping to racehorse training was born out of frustration. As an owner, he had experienced the shortcomings of conventional racing stables so decided to buck the trend and start doing things differently.
Peter and his dedicated team at PGR are determined to improve the quality of care of not only the horses, but also of the owners and their families.
Whilst there are more than 100 trainers operating in Yorkshire and the North East, there are very few in the North West area, especially in Lancashire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Cheshire. PGR aims to plug this gap by providing the best training experience anywhere in the region.
